Privacy Policy
Jyotish Agent is operated by Unvera LLC ("we", "us"). Birth details and the questions you ask can be personal, so we keep this short and specific: we use your information to calculate charts, answer your questions, run the service and keep it safe. We do not sell your personal information.
1. The short version
- Your birth profiles and conversation history are saved in your browser on your device, not in our database.
- When you ask for a reading, your birth details, chart and question are sent to us and to our AI provider to generate the answer. The live session is held in memory and discarded after about 3 hours of inactivity.
- Our usage analytics are first-party and never include birth details, questions, answers, email addresses, IP addresses or browser user-agent strings. We use no advertising or third-party tracking.
- You can clear everything this site saved in your browser from your Account page, export a backup of your readings and profiles, and ask us to delete anything we hold.
2. What we collect
- Account: your email address, and — if you sign in with Google — the name and profile picture Google provides. We use the name and picture only for display.
- Birth profiles: the name or label you give a profile, gender, date, time and place of birth, and chart settings — for you and for anyone else you add.
- Questions and readings: the questions you ask and the answers generated for you.
- Ratings, reviews and feedback: your rating and comment (linked to your account email), and feedback messages (linked to your email if signed in, otherwise to a random anonymous ID), plus the page and conversation they refer to.
- Usage analytics: event names (for example that a chart was calculated or a page viewed), page path, language, a random anonymous ID, a session ID, a random profile ID and limited non-sensitive context.
- Payment and credit records: credit balances once credits are in use on your account, and purchases and subscription status once you buy. Card details are handled by our payment processor; we never see or store full card numbers.
- Billing analytics, once credits are in use on your account: to understand how people move from free answers to purchases, we link billing events — for example that a paywall was shown or dismissed, that free credits ran out, or that a pack or subscription was bought (with product and price, never card details) — to a stable pseudonymous account identifier. The identifier is derived from your account email with a keyed one-way hash; it is not your email, cannot be reversed without our secret key, and is not shared with anyone. It is kept with the analytics data under the same retention as other usage analytics, and when you delete your account it is no longer linked to you.
- Age confirmation: when you create an account (or, for accounts created earlier, before your next question or purchase) you confirm that you are 18 or older. We record the time of that confirmation and the version of the Terms it applied to. We do not ask for or store your own date of birth for this.
- Support emails you send us.
- Connection data: like any website, we see your IP address and browser type when you connect. We use the IP address briefly in memory to limit abuse (for example repeated sign-in code requests), and our web server may record it in access logs that are rotated over time. It is never stored with analytics.
3. Where your readings are kept
Birth profiles, conversations (up to the most recent 50) and cached yearly reports are saved in your browser's local storage on your device. Anyone with access to that device and browser profile can read them, and they are not separately encrypted by us. Clearing your browser data, using a private window or switching devices will remove or hide them.
To answer a question, we hold your profile, chart and the conversation in memory for the active session. It is not written to our database and is discarded after about 3 hours of inactivity or when memory is needed.
Please do not put information you do not need to share — identity numbers, passwords, card numbers, medical details — into profiles or questions.
4. How we use information
- calculate charts and generate readings and follow-up answers;
- keep you signed in and, when available, manage credits, purchases and subscriptions;
- answer support requests and feedback, and decide which reviews to display;
- understand which features are used and where people get stuck, using the first-party analytics described above;
- check and improve answer quality, prevent fraud and abuse, and keep the service secure and reliable;
- meet legal, tax and accounting obligations.
5. AI processing
Readings are generated by large language models that we reach through OpenRouter, a US-based AI gateway. OpenRouter passes each request to one of a fixed set of model hosts — currently DeepSeek, BaseTen, Novita, SiliconFlow — and is configured not to send it anywhere else, and to use only hosts that OpenRouter lists as not storing prompts or using them for training. To produce an answer we send the profile name or label, gender, birth date, time and place, the calculated chart, your question and the recent conversation. These providers may process data outside the United States, including in the People's Republic of China.
When an answer appears to have gone wrong, or a reading is checked for quality, the conversation may be sent through the same providers for automated review. What we keep from that review is a short summary, checked to exclude dates, times and long numbers, together with the session and message identifiers it refers to; we do not keep the full conversation.
We do not sell your data and we do not use it to train AI models of our own.
6. Service providers
We use a small number of providers to run the service: Resend (delivers sign-in code emails, United States), Google (only if you choose Google sign-in), our AI providers (above), our hosting provider, and — when paid features are available — a payment processor. They process information only to provide their service to us.
9. How long we keep information
- Data in your browser stays until you clear it.
- Live reading sessions are discarded after about 3 hours of inactivity.
- Analytics events, reviews, feedback and quality-review summaries are kept while they are useful for running and improving the service. We do not yet delete them automatically on a fixed schedule; you can ask us to delete yours at any time.
- Payment records are kept as long as tax and accounting law requires.
- System logs used for debugging and security are rotated over time.
10. Your choices and rights
You can clear everything this site saved in your browser from the Account page, and export a backup of your readings and profiles. To access, correct, delete or get a copy of information we hold, or to delete your account, email [email protected] with the subject "Privacy request" from your account email. We will verify the request and respond within 45 days. We honour these requests wherever you live, and we will not treat you differently for making one.
Some records may be kept where the law requires it, for example payment records, or to prevent fraud.
11. Health information
The service is not designed to collect health information, including consumer health data as defined by Washington's My Health My Data Act. Please do not share medical details in questions. If you do, we use them only to answer that question, they are handled like the rest of your conversation, and we never sell them or use them for advertising.
12. Security
We use encryption in transit (TLS), encrypted sign-in session cookies, access controls and a content security policy that blocks third-party scripts. No online service is perfectly secure; if we learn of a breach that affects you, we will notify you as the law requires.
13. Age limit
Jyotish Agent is for people aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children as users. A parent may enter a child's birth details as a profile. Like any profile, those details are saved in the parent's browser. They are sent to our server to calculate the chart whenever that chart is shown (the calculation is not stored), and, when the parent asks a question about that profile, they are sent to our AI providers as described in section 5, only to answer the parent's question. We do not create an account for the child or contact the child.
14. Where the service is offered
Unvera LLC operates from the United States. The service is not directed to people in the European Union, European Economic Area, United Kingdom or Switzerland.
15. Changes
We will update this page when our practices change and change the date above. For material changes we will give notice on the site or by email before they take effect, and we will not apply a change retroactively to use information in a new way without your consent.
