What can seed the nine signs?

Do I need an exact birth time?
Moon, Sun, and an explicit nakshatra work without it. Lagna seed is hidden when birth time is unknown. If the day’s Moon could change pada, a note explains that only one Moon position is shown for the Moon seed.
